Victorian Cast Iron Figural Eagle Head Door Knocker

All original cast iron figural eagle attached to a iron back plate where the eagle holds a large iron ring which one raises and lowers to hit a large iron button and thus makes the knocking sound. The eagle extends outward approximately 3 3/4″ front the back plate, the ring measures 4 1/2″ in diameter at the widest points, and the round button which the ring strikes is 3″ in diameter. The back plate measures 6 1/2″ wide and is 12″ long. We were told that this knocker came from off of a home in the Dalton, Ohio area.
