This is a phenomenal 19th-century antique silver plate hunting trophy that has engraved on the trophy, ‘Madison County First Prize Team Shoot Championship’. This is a tall piece that measures 25 1/2″ high and the base has a diameter of 10″. There are several different full figural items featured as well. The most impressive figures are the two hunting dogs that are on either side of the lower sectional that is a tree trunk. There is also four rifles that are on the two sides and then a pair of hunting birds that make the finial on this piece. The lid is removable and exposes an urn type section on this trophy. The engraving on this piece is exceptional and very beautiful. Marked on the underside Meriden Silver plate.
