Early all original stoneware crock jug that is stamped with an impressed mark by it’s maker, ‘West Troy Pottery’. The jug is decorated with a very attractive cobalt blue decoration that could resemble a unique variation of a drop ‘8’ design or having grown up on a farm resembles to my eye the milk weed plant opening to release it’s cotton type seed. This number 2 gallon crock jug measures 14″ high and has a diameter on the bottom of 9″. Again, excellent all original condition the only imperfection that I can see is a circular spot approximately quarter or nickel size where the glaze has flaked off of the stoneware crock. This is an exceptional find and you will not want to miss adding this great find to your own personal antique stoneware crock collections.
