All three of these tin over cardboard backing advertising signs depict food products for Armour’s Quality Food Products. Each of the signs measure 13 1/4″ x 9 1/4″. The signs depict detailed graphics of three different foods that are made by Armour’s. The signs advertise 1) Armour’s Pork and Beans 2) Armour’s Star Sliced Bacon and 3) Armour’s Dried Beef. On the backside of each of the signs there is an original paper labels that read, ‘This sign is the Property of Armour and Company and is loaned for the purpose of attracting customers for you. It is loaned with the understanding that is will be prominently displayed in the store, and must not be destroyed. It Pays to Keep Signs Clean – This sign cleans easily because the surface is highly glazed, and when it becomes fly specked or dusty a few rubs with a damp cloth will restore the original brightness.’ Two of the signs also are marked with the Veribest Trade mark logo. On the backside of the dried beef sign there is a signature that reads, ‘Niagara Litho. Co. Buffalo – Chicago’. These are quality made signs with beveled edges and with having three signs it makes a wonderful display.
