Antique Hubley Cast Iron Sitting Scottie Dog Door Stop – #412

This Large figural dog doorstop was made by Hubley in the very early 1900’s and listed in their catalog as #412 “Sitting Scottie”. The detail that Hubley put into this one is just amazing to me. From her sitting on her rear paw to the highly detailed coat and the cute little red studded collar. I’d expect that with bronze, but not with cast iron. She’s a two-piece design held together with two screws and larger than most doorstops, measuring 11 3/4″ tall and 16″ long. She weighs nearly 12lbs!!
