This is a remarkable find to have an all original and signed Reed and Barton marked double pickle castor with marked blue art glass Reed and Barton inserts. Notice that the signatures on the glass inserts are marked into the glass. This is the first set that we have ever owned with signed Reed and Barton glass inserts! Notice the thickness and attractive swirling pattern design on these matching blue glass inserts. Each insert measures 4 1/4″ high and has a diameter of 3 1/2″. With the silver-plated lid the inserts are 6″ high. Notice that the silver-plated stand is also engraved ‘Mf’d & Plated by Reed Barton – 1659’. This stand features two full figural cupid designs that are delicately and beautifully designed. The stand measures 11 1/2″ high and is 8 3/4″ wide by 4″ deep. This is a remarkable find and done in exceptional high end quality. Not to mention being made with blue and hard to find glass inserts.
