Oak Carved Blanket Chest – Westing, Evans & Egmore – Philadelphia

Oak Blanket Chest is in good original finish. This carved chest is very sturdy note the dimensions and thickness of the corner boards. The face of the chest has a decorative  inlaid design.  Measures 20″ x 45″ and 23″ Height. Metal plate reads: Westing, Evans and Egmore Philadelphia.  The firm of Westing, Evans & Egmore, founded in Philadelphia in 1916, manufactured and sold furniture, woodwork and interior decoration. One of its important commissions was the furnishing of the Folger Shakespeare Library, built 1929-1932 in Washington, DC.
