Antique Fancy Mahogany Highly Carved Drop Front Desk – Horner – only 42 inches wide

This is a beautiful highly carved griffin mahogany drop front desk in very nice condition. This is a remarkable piece. Note that there is even a hidden compartment that runs across the top of this desk that is opened with a hidden button release latch. This desk measures 42 1/2″ wide by 22″ deep on the base and is 47″ high. When the writing surface is dropped down the depth of this desk is 33″ deep, and the writing desk from the floor to the bottom of the writing surface is 29″ high, where one would want to place a chair to use the dropped down desk. Circa 1900.
