DeLaval Tin advertising Sign, and this one is the Red Background Version in the Original Gesso Frame. The sign Depicts a beautiful Milk Maid in the center oval with her arm wrapped around a Jersey milk cow. Flanked around this center oval is four panels of Cows along with a young lady in each of the frames. The four different scenes with cows and young ladies are; 1) Ayrshire (Scotland) 2) Guernsey (Island of Guernsey) 3) Dutch Belted (Holland) 4) Holstein (Denmark). On the bottom of the sign are listed the Canadian and American Work Branches: “Montreal, Winnipeg, San Francisco, Seattle, The center of the sign advertises the statement – “Save $10 to $15 Per Cow Every Year of Use, 1,250,000 in use”. “The Da Laval Separator Company General Offices were located in New York and Chicago at: 165 Broadway New York – 20 E. Madison Street Chicago”. This framed tin sign measures 40 3/4″ x 29 1/2″, while the tin advertising sign is 19 1/4″ x 30 1/2″. In the lower right hand corner this sign reads, ‘Copyright 1910 By DeLaval Separator Company’. On the backside there is a partial label that reads, ‘ A. H. Vilas Company – Chicago’ which would have been the framing company. You will not want to miss adding this beautiful tin framed advertising sign to your own personal collection. This sign originally came from the estate collection of Harold Wright from McPherson, Kansas.
