Cast Iron 5 Ton Stake body Truck with Driver – Hubley

All original Hubley cast iron toy truck referred to as the 5 Ton Truck. The tailgate will raise and lower for endless play. Truck has the original driver and the floor of the truck’s box is a steel floor. This truck measures 6 1/2″ high to the top of the driver and is 5 3/4″ wide and approximately 17′ long. This toy is featured in the toy reference book, ‘Cast Iron Automotive Toys’ on page 148, written by Myra Yellin Outwater & Eric B. Outwater along with Stevie & Bill Weart. This is a rare and hard to find cast iron antique truck, the largest Hubley truck and this particular toy being the green color and having a horn like attachment on the front we were told makes this the earliest version of the 5 ton trucks.
