Antique Mt. Washington Brides Basket with Full Figural Dog Meriden Silver-Plated Base Stand

Antique Mount Washington (American, 1837-1894) and Meriden Britannia Silver Company (American, – 1852), last quarter 19th century. A fine Victorian brides basket bowl, square hand blown pink hobnail design having a crimped and ruffled rim, and over-laid with a clear satin tone layer and fitted in a Meriden Britannia quadruple silver plate twin handled frame with full figured Irish Setter dog in posed pointing position. Marked to the underside ‘ Meriden B. Company – Quadruple Plate – #1621″. The stand at the widest across the handles measures 14 1/2″ wide, the bottom has a 6 1/2″ diameter base and with the basket in stand measures 15 1/2″ high. Exceptional piece of Mount Washington art glass that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal collection.
