This original antique black cloth and marked ‘sterling’ handle with engraved scrolling floral vine design handle which is also marked with a ‘pat 2-18-1902’ date is in remarkable condition for this date and being that it is an umbrella which was used in unfavorable weather. The locking mechanism on this umbrella has been modified with a cloth sleeve that holds it secure. The diameter of the umbrella portion is approximately 38″.
