This is a small cast iron Landers, Frary and Clark Company double wheel cast iron coffee mill. Landers, Frary & Clark company were out of New Britain, Connecticut. Notice the raised lettering that identifies this for us in the cast iron on both the wheels and the base of this grinder. There is a decal on the front of this grinder, that reads, ‘Universal’ and on the top cast in the iron is the number, ’20’. Also, a great find is that this grinder on the interior of the wheel is marked with the Patent date, ‘Pat. Oct. 1, 1901’. The iron drawer for collecting the grounds still has the original knob and notice the original decal labels on the front of the drawer. This grinder measures 12 1/4″ high and the wheels are 8 1/2″ in diameter. The base of this grinder is 6″ x 6 1/2″. The grinder moves easily and is in good original condition. This coffee grinder will make an excellent addition to one’s antique collection!
