Rabbit Standing Mechanical Cast Iron Bank in good original paint. A coin is placed between the paws of the rabbit, the tail is pressed, and the coin drops into the bank as the ears wiggle.
Made by Lockwood Manufacturing Co., South Norwalk, CT, Circa 1882. This bank measures 7 1/2″ high and the base is 4 1/4″ deep by 3″ wide. Notice on the underplate there is impressed lettering in the iron that reads, ‘Pat Apld For’.
