This is an all original working neon advertising clock that advertises, ‘Omega Watches – Wetzel & Truex Jewelers’. The neon lights are in working order and when lit are a green and red color. The wordage around the clock is black. This clock will hang or it also has two curling metal feet on the bottom so that the clock can be displayed resting on a counter surface. The clock measures 24 1/2″ diameter and is 7″ deep. On the back the clock is marked, ‘Neon Products Inc. – Ohio’ and has the patent dates R.E. 18679, 2097122, or 2097123.
This clock originally came from out of a Norfolk, Nebraska Jewelry Store. The clock then hung in a restaurant across the street from the jewelry store until it was purchased by an antique dealer and that is how we acquired this piece. Norfolk, Nebraska is the home town of the comedian Johnny Carson. –
