American Victorian Aesthetic Movement Brass and Hammered Metal Folding Mirror. Tri-fold Mirror will open on a vanity offering a better view from the extra angles. A beautiful work of art. Note the sitting Cupid at the top with applied flowers on the frame with a Hummingbird on the left and a Butterfly on the right. On the back there is a hanger so can easily be hung on wall.
The mirror frame is stamped “Patent No 182635, 26 Sept 1876” and the catch has “Brevete SDGD LB 1876”. The Patent is for the tri-mirror that folds within a frame. There is another stamp in a shield design on the back that reads: Rogers Smith and Co. Merriden CT Quadruple 9100.
