All original and unique four burner kerosene angle lamp. This lamp is identified and marked in several places by its maker, ‘The Angle Lamp Company of New York’. This lamp is complete with the four clear bottom glass bottoms which are marked with raised letters in the glass, ‘The Angle Lamp Co. – No Under Shadow’. Notice the important selling feature they are stating that with the clear glass under shades you will have no shadow with this lamp. The clear glass bottoms measure approximately 6 1/2″ in diameter and are 4 1/2″ high. Each of these clear glass bottoms are capped with a milk glass cone shaded shade. These shades each measure 9″ high and at the widest are 6 1/2″ wide. Also included is the pull down ceiling mount that attaches this lamp to the ceiling. The burner portion is also marked, ‘The Angle Lamp Co. New York – Patented in the US and Foreign Countries’. Each adjustable burner flame is also marked, ‘Angle Mfg. Co. N.Y.’. Angle lamps were sold from about 1896 to 1929 and were expensive for their time. The Angle Lamp Company of New York City developed this unique type of kerosene lamp and it was a vast improvement over other kerosene lamps that were currently being sold.
