This is an Oak J & P Coats Spool Cabinet with. roll up side oak spool cabinet in original finish. This piece would have been used in a country store to dispense the sewing thread. The spools would be loaded from the top side and then dispensed from the lift up doors on the bottom. This cabinet measures 17 1/2″ x 16″ and it stands 23″ high. This style of country store spool cabinet is in good original condition. This originally came from the General Store in Waterville Kansas. Circa 1900.
