Antique Handel Lamp-Evening Forest Scene

Antique original Handel signed three socket table lamp that features a reverse painted shade which depicts an outdoor night scene. The scene depicts a continuous birch woodland scene done in tones of green and gray against a purple evening sky shading to burnt orange, featuring an illuminated moon reflecting on the water. This is a unique find to have a night scene on a lamp. Also note the ‘chipped ice’ texture on this shade that measures 18″ diameter and this lamp stands 21 1/2″ high, and the base has a diameter of 7″.  Also note that there is a patent date on this lamp of ‘Pat’d No. 979664’, which is 1910 circa. The shade is also marked, Handel. This is a rare and unique find in a signed Handel lamp, one that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal antique lighting collection!
