This desk lamp is all original. The shade is cased glass with black on the outside and lined with white milk glass on the inside. The lamp measures 13 1/2″ Height, shade is 10″ x 5″ . The original tag reads Emeralite No. 9 Desk Lamp H.G. McFaddin & Co. 40 Warren St. New York, U.S.A. The shade has a signature or stamped mark of Albinor – Slovika. Albinor is the trademarked name from that H.G. McFaddin & Co.The metal work is finished with a bronze like patina might be brass. The base is weighted so lamp could be adjusted to work as a piano lamp or on top of a roll top desk. I have never had a cased glass shade usually the lamps I find will have the green shade that glow. The lamp has a knob on the base that turns the lamp off and on. There are two sockets for the bulbs. –
