This hand operated seed sower has the original writing still on the canvase bag that reads, ‘Cyclone – Trade Mark – Seed Sower – The Cyclone Seeder Co., Inc., – Urbana, Indiana, U.S.A. – Since 1868’. Also notice that on the bottom there is a paper instruction label that helps one to gauge setting for the different types of seeds that you are planting. Original condition, the canvas bag is tearing away from the wooden base, but the original advertising on this seed planter is exceptional, what a great piece of advertising for display this piece with history back to 1868 would make! The wooden base measures approximately 16″ long by 7″ wide and the crank handle is 5″ out away from the base.
