Beautiful amethyst Covered Box Signed Moser Karlsbad Art Glass. The dish has a 1/4 inch gold band that shapes around the edge. The lid is highly decorated with a heavily cut design of warriors. The type of frieze work is known as “oroplastique”, a method first developed by Val St Lambert and also used by Moser. The technique was not utilized by Moser until 1914-15. Measures 5 1/2″ diameter, 3 1/2″ height. The dark rich amethyst color is a beautiful color choice against the golden band of carved warriors.
