W236B  1910 Dated Postcard Folding Fan w/Box

What a treasure this old postcard dated July 1910 still is today. One can feel the emotion of this beautiful postcard that has done in gold letters, 'Forget Me Not' with a folding celluloid fan that depicts a robin bird with a letter in it's beak when fully open. The postcard has been stored all these years in the original box that it was mailed in and which is addressed, from 'Wm. L. Stahl - 1826 Willington St. Chicago, Illinois' to: Miss Julia Omann, Pourroy, Iowa - Calhoun, County. The box measures 6" x 3 3/4". The backside of the post card reads: 'Chicago July 9-10 Hoping this will get to you with my love, Signed Will. The postcard says 'To Julia From Will.' One can tell that originally the one blade of the fan was glued to the fuzzy side of the postcard, however over the years the glue has dried and the fan is no longer attached to the postcard but one can see the outline where the fan originally was attached. If you collect old antique postcards, this one is a keeper, this one is a beauty, and you can still feel the love that was originally being expressed between these two lovers. - Price $135.
