W187C Segment Antique Hand Operated Corn Planter
All original old hand operated corn or vegetable planter. There is still some original stenciled information on this planter that reads, 'Segment - patent Sept. 11, 1900 - Acme - Potato Implement Co.'. This planter measures 33 1/2" long and is 12 1/2" at the widest point. Notice that his planter is made of tin, wire, wood, and metal sections. The seeds are placed in the hinged lid compartment on the side of the planter. This planter also appears to have a depth indicator with the footings in the front and back of the tipped opening where the seed comes out. Nice all original early old farm implement antique collectible again dating 1900. - $145.
