W124B  Old Wool Homespun Bedspread Covering Blanket

This is a homespun bedspread covering that is decorated with an embroidered soft pink contrasting thread that stands out nicely against this off white background. Notice the unique designs that have been embroidered into this folk art homespun bedcovering. In the very center of the spread there is a large eight pointed star. On the sides of the spread there is tree like designs, and also note the people that would cover the pillow or sham type area of the bedspread and this same people type design is at the bottom or what would be closer to the foot of the bed. Notice all around this homespun bedspread covering there is an edge like design, that extends slightly down beyond the background for almost a fringe type effect. This is an exceptional all original and in perfect condition homespun bedspread covering that measures 64" wide and 96" long. This homespun piece was inherited by a family in Beatrice, Nebraska who came from Baltimore County Maryland and this was passed down from the Frazze family who lived in the mountains of Maryland. - SOLD
