 T109C  Self Standing Child's Chalk Board Easel Slated Blackboard

This is an excellent all original oak self standing child's educational chalk board easel. This piece still has it's original manufacture label that reads, 'Litho-Plate Slated Blackboard - Richmond School Furniture Co. - Muncie, Ind. USA'. Notice the paper border on this chalk board that will roll and change to show different educational facts. On this paper there is a date that reads, 'Copyright 1939 - Richmond School Furniture Co.'. What a wonderful educational tool. There is multiplication, subtraction and addition facts, Transportation is identified both ships, airships, and buses. Telling time, identifying shapes, and items around the home, are all listed on this educational tool. What wonderful graphics and a wealth of information this rotating border shares. Notice that when you lower the board it drops down to make a working desk surface and there is a storage area opposite this drop down desk for storing supplies and chalk, erasers, etc. This is a nice old educational tool. Notice the red highlight medallions that decorate this easel. When standing in the secure upright useable position this board stands 43" high, and is 21" wide and depth is 23 1/2" deep across the bottom legs. The drop down desk surface is 19 1/2" wide and 16" deep. The open border that displays the information is 18" wide by 4 3/4" high. Again, notice the original label on this piece and what a wonderful child's piece of educational furniture this piece would make to your own antique collections. - $325.
