T079B  Dandy Dan Child's Pedal Toy Horse

Exceptional all original Victorian child's pedal toy that is marked "Dandy Dan." Dandy Dan is stenciled on the seat of this toy note the exceptional paint with original pin stripping, this toy is pedal activated and can also be steered with the handle. The body of the horse is wood with the legs being made of cast iron. The wheels on the cart measure on the back 12" in diameter and the single wheel in the front is 7 3/4" diameter. The overall measurements are 42" long and 19" wide. Circa 1890's. This toy was sold for the original price of $4.98, in the reference book, 'Evolution of the Pedal Car and Other Riding Toys 1884 -1970's', Edited by Neil S. Wood on page 13. This is an exceptional find to have a child's riding toy that is still in this great of original condition after all these years. - $4,995.
