Q014B Variation Hour Glass Pattern Pieced Quilt
This quilt was originally made by a lady in Hardy, Nebraska which is found in the south central part of the state in Nucholls County. This is a very colorful quilt, and notice the early fabrics and in particular the early backing on this quilt. The quilt is in very good all original condition, with no tears, holes, etc. There is a few brown spots on this quilt, however with the dark colors of fabrics in this quilt, and the busy patterns, one does not notice the spots at first glance, only after thorough examination do they become
noticeable. This quilt measures 70" x 84". This quilt has a patriotic flare with a star binding around the border of the quilt. This quilt has seven stitches per inch quilting. This is an early quilt dating approximately 1905-1915 time period with the backing and the fabrics used.
