P053B  Engraved Elk & Wolves Print ' Defiance '

This is an engraved black and white print that depicts a large elk bull with full rack that has been challenged by two wolves and they all are battling in water that is knee height to the bull elk. One can see that the bull elk stand strong over the wolves, but the wolves have not departed from this confrontation. The print is titled, 'Defiance', and in the lower right hand corner it reads, 'The Crowell & Kirkpatrick Co. - New York & Chicago', and in the lower left hand corner, 'Painted by Sir Edwin Landseer'. This is a majestic and powerful print that would make a nice addition to any home or office. Also note the quality that this frame has been made with. Notice the fancy and very detailed composition beaded and scalloped fancy work around the entire frame. This is a nice piece of artwork that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal antique collection.
This particular print was purchased at an estate sale in the Wilber and Crete area in southeastern Nebraska. - SOLD
