P046B  Bessie Pease Gutmann Print The Boss

This is a wonderful three matted scene oval tin framed print that is titled, 'The Boss'. Notice this title at the very top of the print on the matting, then there is three detailed baby scenes below. The top oval shows a baby reaching out at a butterfly to come play and the scene is called, 'Come, Play with Me', the middle rectangular shape shows a baby laying on bedding, and the bottom scene is called, 'All is Vanity', and shows a baby looking at her image in a mirror. Both the top and bottom print are signed, 'Bessie Pease Gutmann' and this can be seen in the prints, the middle scene could be signed and hidden by the matting. The prints are stored in a style of an Ohio Art tin oval frame. The frame measures 8" x 16" and both the frame and backing are all original to this print and matting.
