P033B  Matching Frames Winter Scene Lithographs Prints

Exceptional attention to details is displayed in these companion set of Winter scene lithographs. The set depicts young children enjoying the daily routines of life as only children will in a winter setting. One print is titled, 'Winter Pets' 'Copyright by H. Hallett & Co. 1879 - Published by H. Hallett & Co. Portland, Maine'. This litho shows a young girl dressed in winter clothing with her muff for her hands out spreading seeds for the birds to eat as her small dog watches at her side. The second lithograph is also titled and it reads, 'Hurrah for the Snow', 'Copyright by H. Hallett & Co. 1879', and in the lower left hand corner it reads, 'Published by H. Hallett & Co. Portland, Maine'. This lithograph is of a youth making a snowball and perhaps is heading home from school with their slate hanging from their lunch or school bag. Both prints measure 10" x 14" and the frames at the widest points are 14 3/4" x 18 3/4". The main portion of the frame is 12" x 16". This pair is without a doubt a companion pair of lithographs as the frames are matching. Stylish carved wooden frames with a brick type pattern going around the prints and in all four corners there is applied wooden leaf decorations.
