P023B  Nude Woman & Cupid Print Artist Tojetti

This original nude print and highly decorative composition frame are an exceptional find and statement. This print depicts a nude woman resting if on clouds and being fanned by a cupid figure. The highly decorative oval composition frame has it's original wood slat backing and stamped on the back it reads, 'Handle with care', 'From Boussod Valadons & Co. - 303 Fifth Ave. - New York'. I acquired this print from an antique dealer that specializes in artwork and she notes that this print was done by the artist, 'Tojetti', and that there is a good chance that the artwork is signed below where the frame is. I do not want to remove the original backing to see if this is indeed true. I did do a search on Domenico Tojetti on the internet and I can see that I would support the theory that this print was indeed done by the artist Tojetti when comparing this artwork with other prints signed by him. Again, all original condition there is some damage to the composition like bow on the top of the frame. I would not choose to repair this if it was me, as I enjoy keeping items in their original condition, and again I do not find this imperfection a deterring fact to this great print. If you collect cupids or if you enjoy fine artwork then this print is a must for your own personal collection. - SOLD
