P001B Pair of Yard Long Prints Boy Teasing Dog

A story told in pictures alone. This is a corresponding pair of yard long prints. The first print shows a boy dressed in knickers, white shirt, and wearing a felt Irish looking feathered hat, hanging from the fence's edge teasing a sleeping dog with the end of a stick. The second yard long print, can't help but bring a smile to your face, as the scene has changed and the dog is suspended in mid air as it holds tight with it's teeth onto the boy's ripped shirt tails. And the boy holds on for dear life onto the fence's edge. This is a great pair of prints, and both prints are signed in the lower left hand corners by, 'L. Berwald'. These are great old all original prints. The first print does appear to have an extra dark area around the boy's face and carries over to the right hand edge of the print. Perhaps this is from moisture exposure over the years. The second print is perfect, and just notice the great details of shadowing that has been done on these prints. The frames measure 11 1/4" x 30 3/4". The finish on the frames has been worked on, as you can still see on the very edge of the frames, the darker finish that would have been original to the frames. This is a great pair of yard long prints. This set would look excellent in a young boys room or a man's office for a man who still wants to remain young at heart. - SOLD
