M307B Monitor Battle Ship Windmill Weight
This is a great Guaranteed old Monitor Battle Ship Windmill Weight. It is all original, no repairs. These weights were used as counter balance weights on the 12 foot Monitor Vane less style M mill. This weight was to be a representation of the Civil War ironclad, 'The Monitor'. This weight uses both cast iron and concrete. On the iron that extends out on the side of the battleship there is an impression of a letter, it is a light impression, it appears to be the letter, 'M'. This weight measures 28 1/4" long, 12 1/4" wide, and 7 1/4" high. I used an old penny scale to weigh this weight and it weighed between 65 and 70 pounds. The concrete has good form to it. There is a 4" long place where there is an indentation in the cement. I would say that this is original to how the weight came out when it was originally made, this place is on the lower bottom side of the ship. Again, a great windmill weight that is guaranteed old. Don’t miss out on adding this weight to your collection!
