M136C  Brass Winchester Bushel Grain Scale Fairbanks

Old all original grain elevator bushel grain scale. This brass scale has stenciled across the brass bucket the word, 'Fairbanks' and also engraved on the brass sliding weight is the information, 'Fairbanks & Co. St. Johnsbury, VT.' The scale weighs up to 65 pounds. There is a patent date of Dec. 16, 1877 on this scale. This scale is all complete and is still working. Notice how the bucket hook is built right into the handle of the brass bucket. The brass bucket measures 6" high and has a diameter of 5 3/4". The handle on the bucket when fully extended up measures approximately 10" high. The brass scale portion is 13 3/4" long. This particular scale came from out of the grain elevator in Verdigre, Nebraska.
