M129B  Large Maytag Washing Machine Sign - Porcelain

This is a fabulous circa 1930's Maytag sign. Polychrome decoration is enamel on a very cool, die-cut tin background. This sign was purchased from Mike Fitzsimmons in Minden Nebraska whose father Perry was a Maytag dealer for 60 years in Minden, Nebraska. Mike found this sign in storage it had never been used and personally uncrated them. Mike was a repairman for 30 years on appliances. This sign measures approximately 4' x 6' tall. The sign is in very good condition has a small minor place on the bottom with a little rust. I think the photo  represents this well. It's a fabulous, bold example of early advertising and would make a great addition to any upscale laundry room. This sign weighs approximately 50 lbs. The sign is a little thin for the size so we screwed the sign to a board with bolts (with rubber washers so they would not scratch the sign) . This allows us to easily hang the sign. -  $1975.
