G529B Tiffany and Co. Coffee or Tea Pot

This is an elegant teapot was made by the Tiffany Company. The Bottom is marked "1969 Tiffany & Co Makers Silver-Soldered-E.P." 110 L". Along with this mark there is a "49" stamped on the bottom of both the lid and the teapot base showing that they were made for each other. This pot is unusual as its handle is made out of wood while the rest of the pot is silver. This is both an attractive feature and a practical one as when the pot was heated the handle wouldn't conduct the heat but yet would allow the rest of the pot to warm. The piece stands 6 ¾” high, 6 ½” from spout to handle, and 2 ¾” wide. This pot dates from 1870-1891 in the Rainwater Tiffany book on page 169. - Price $485.
