G527B Square Shaped Rubina Pickle Castor

This is a rare and unusual shape for a pickle castor, notice the square shape and the beautiful rubina color that decorates this Northwood pattern, known as Royal Oak. The silver plated holder is of equal beauty with the winged cherubs on all four corners of the base. The set is complete with the pickle tongs and the silver plated lid. On the underneath side of the holder there is hallmarks from the maker of the frame. The frame measures 8 3/4" high and the base has a measurement of 6" x 6". The winged cherubs are 1 3/4" high from the bottom. The rubina insert with the lid on top measures 6" high, and is 4" x 4". Excellent all original condition, this is a beautiful piece of quality glassware that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal Victorian pickle castor collections. - SOLD
