G342C Victorian Brides Basket Satin Pigeon Blood Glass
Beautiful all original satin pigeon blood glass brides basket made by the Consolidated Glass Co.. Notice the eye catching contrasting enameled flowers done in yellow, white and green that encircle the interior of this bowl. The bowl has ribbed deep ruffles that encircle the outer edge, and the bowl and holder are in excellent all original condition. The silver plated holder is numbered on the under side of one of the legs with the number, '3240', and around the center underside finial there is another etched signature that I can't read for certain, but if I was guessing I would guess, 'J.M.'. Notice the rope twist tassels that decorate the holder along with a few floral motifs. The basket measures 11" wide at the widest point and stands 3 3/4" high at the highest point, when measuring just the bowl. The silver plated stand is 9 1/2" high and across the handles is 15 1/4" wide. This is a beautiful art glass piece one that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal collection. We currently have in inventory a beautiful pigeon blood biscuit jar that would compliment this brides basket well.
