G315B  Western Stoneware Crock Sanford Ink Advertising

This is an old crock that still has it's advertising both in blue lettering directly on the stoneware jar and then with a paper label attached to the crock. The blue lettering reads, 'Sanford's INKS The Dependable Line PASTES illegal to refill this jar for resale'. The wordage on the paper label is harder to read as the words are worn some, there is the words, 'Sanford - Library Paste'. On the lid there is embossed lettering and it reads, 'No. 5 - Weir Seal - Western Stoneware Co. Monmouth, Illinois'. Note there is still the original wooden handle and wire bail. The crock measures 7" diameter on the bottom, stands approximately 9" high to the top of the crock lid when on and 12" high to the top of the wire bail handle. Excellent all original condition and there is still the original rubber gasket with this crock. On the very bottom there is the numbers, '150-52 impressed into the bottom of the crock. What a fun piece of advertising this crock is to add to your advertising or Western Stoneware crock collections. - SOLD
