G303C  English Majolica Biscuit or Cracker Jar Signed MacIntrye

Beautiful English majolica biscuit jar that is signed on the bottom with the Macintyre signature on the bottom. This is a very early piece of pottery circa 1880's. Notice all the beautiful features that this cracker jar has, the ribbed shape of the jar it's self, the beautiful contrasting blue shades that decorate the jar, and the engraved design throughout the jar that reveals the natural beautiful of the pottery it's self. This jar measures 8 1/2" high to the top of the finial on the lid, and at the widest point the jar measures approximately 6 1/2" diameter, the base is 3 3/4" diameter. The Macintyre signature can be found in the Geoffrey Godden book of marks on page 458. Don't miss adding this beautiful and rare piece of majolica to your own personal collection.
