G297B  Antique Painted Shade Boudoir Lamp

This is a smaller size of a lamp reminding one more of a boudoir size of lamp, that has an Egyptian theme with camels and mosques that decorate the glass. This lamp stands 15 1/2" high to the top of the finial. The base of the lamp is just 5" diameter and the shade at the bottom is 8". At first glance one might think that this shade would be a reverse painted shade, and that it would be a panel lamp, however upon close examination you will note that the scenes are painted directly on the shade, and that in fact the lamp does not have panels but indeed is just one complete curved glass shade. On the base of the lamp there is some embossed letters that read, 'P.L.B. & G. Co. - 2080'. This all original lamp is a great find and what a wonderful piece this working lamp would make adding it to your own personal antique collections. - $575.
