G270C  Gouda Pottery Vase Cows Grazing Hand painted

This vase is fully painted with grazing cows and the vase measures 10 1/2" Height. On the underside of the vase it reads 'Zi Holland Gouda M. Mauve.' This is a lovely all original piece of Gouda pottery that has the naturalistic scene of cattle grazing The interior of the vase is a white color while the exterior is all natural earth tones except for the white on a few of the dairy type cattle. At the widest point this vase has a diameter of 4 1/2" diameter while the very top opening is just 1 1/2" diameter.  Early designs often showed scenes from the Dutch countryside, horses, cattle, farms etc. This vase is an example and probably dates from 1905 - 1910.  SOLD
