G248A Handel Dice Form Humidor Monk Design 

- This is a dice form Handel signed Humidor with a religious theme of a Monk yawning. The design number is 123/188. Stamped Handel Ware shield on the bottom. Measures 7" high to the top of the pipe lid, and is 5 3/4" x 5 3/4". Great Humidor of dice form in opal glass, painted on the exterior with a portrait of a monk in pink and sepia tones on a mottled green and russet ground, applied with metal collar, the plain gilt metal cover surmounted by a knob in the form of a tobacco pipe. This is a great all original Handel humidor the condition is very good, there is two very tiny, (the size of a writing pen head) dings right next to the monk. We have taken some close up photos to show you these places. You know that this humidor was used and enjoyed, on the inside of the lid there is still an old cloth and sponge that is tucked under the metal tab. This is a great Handel humidor and the subject matter gives one a smile looking at this monk who is in need of a good night's rest. -  SOLD
