G296B Pullman Lamp Railroad with Ink Well

This heavy duty, all original desk type electric lamp is signed with impressed letters and reads, 'Pullman' on the back base plate. The unique feature of this lamp is that it also stores an ink well. The ink well has a screw type lid that is embossed with information that reads, 'Sengbusch Self Closing Inkstand Co. - Made in U.S.A - Milwaukee, Wis. Pat. Apr. 21, 03. Aug. 23, 04, Jan 15, 07, and Sept. 1, 14.' The lid of this ink well measures 2 1/2" diameter. The base of this lamp is 5" x 5 1/2". The height of the lamp is 8 1/2" high, as it is positioned, there is a wing nut on the lamp and it appears that there is some movement for positioning the lamp at different heights or positions. Notice the molded holders for holding the ink quill. Nice detail in the metalwork on this inkwell and lamp combination piece. We still have the original old cord on the lamp, you would need to have the lamp rewired before using it today. - SOLD
