G239B Victorian Green Opalescent Epergne
Exceptional Victorian epergne that stands 22" tall. The base bowl is 3" tall and has a 10" diameter. Beautiful colors have been used in several shades of green, to opalescent, and even a transparent scheme. The epergne's center trumpet screws into a gold metal holder that sits on top of the bowl for a very secure fit. This center trumpet vase is then encircled by four smaller trumpet pieces that are also secured by the center brass hardware. Notice that there is two different styles of this smaller trumpets. Two stand tall and resemble the same style as the center trumpet vase, and then the other two have a unique arched curve attachment that secures them into the brass holder. When fully assembled this epergne has three different heights that are featured because of the construction of this fabulous piece of art glass. Exceptional all original condition on this Victorian art glass epergne. Note the dark green rigaree that wraps around the trumpet vases for a wonderful color scheme, and also on the lowest two trumpet inserts note that on the very bottoms there is a unique grooved applied type pontil. This is a fine quality piece of art glass in so many ways. The openings of the trumpets are approximately 4 1/2" wide, at the widest points. - SOLD
