 G217A  Tile insert for mantel - Hunting theme 

- This is a complete set of tiles that would fit in a mantel this would date back to 1897, and were made by the Providential Tile Works, Trenton, New Jersey, USA. There are 16 separate tiles that have a hunting theme with two hunters there dog and elk all beautifully The Providential Tile Company was organized by Joseph L. Kirkland, James H. Robinson and C. Kent Whitehead in Trenton, New Jersey in 1885. Operation continued until 1913. This majolica glaze molded tile reflects the style of the aesthetic movement.  The tiles measure 42 1/2 inches wide and 39 1/2 inches height to the outside. On the inside opening measures 30" x 30".  -  $3,250.
