G158B Royal Dux Statue Horse & Rider with Dogs
This is an exceptional full figural statue of a young Englishman outfitted horse rider who appears to be leading a fox hunt, because there is three very eager hounds at the horse's side and the young man has a bugle or trumpet type horn in his hand. The horse also appears to be in a spirited mood, with it's neck arched and the legs and hooves done in a prancing gait. The colors are the traditional Royal Dux earth tones with exceptional details in the molded work of this statue. The statue is signed on the bottom with the traditional, pink rose colored triangle that reads, 'Royal Dux - Bohemia' and the acorn
emblem with a D. Also impressed on the bottom of this statue is the signature, 'Czechoslovakia' and there is several numbers and they are, '11227', '72' and 'IV 160'.
This signed piece is in excellent all original condition, and it stands an impressive
19 1/2" high and the base measures 15 1/2" x 8". The only piece on this statue that is not porcelain is the horse's reins and they are made out of cloth.
