G080C  Deldare ware Buffalo Pottery Pitcher

This is an appealing smaller size octagonal shaped Buffalo Pottery pitcher. The bottom is signed, 'Deldare Ware Made at Ye Buffalo Pottery - 1908'. There is two corresponding scenes that have been painted on this pitcher and both scenes are titled, one being: 'Their Manner of Telling Stories' and the opposite side, 'Which He Returned with a Curtsey', both sayings are quoted from The Vicar of Wakefield. The artist signature is 'N. Sheehan'. This pitcher measures just 6" high 4" diameter across the bottom. One can see this same pitcher featured in the reference book titled, The Book of Buffalo Pottery by Violet & Seymour Altman on page 101, plate #165. Excellent all original condition. - $475.
