F918B  Oak Winged Griffon Sideboard Buffet

This is a well built solid quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet with attractive beveled mirror in the back board. Full figured standing Griffons, detailed  carved claw feet and ample storage in the open compartment in the bottom, full length middle drawer, and the two divided silverware drawers. This piece is stamped on the backside with the name of the furniture company that made it, 'The Haverty Furn. Co.' There is several very popular carvings on this sideboard, the egg and dart design around the top ledge, the scrolling oak leaf carvings on the top crown. This sideboard is in very good condtion. This piece came from out of a private collection in Kentucky. This sideboard measures 67" high, 66" wide, and the depth is 26" deep. The claws measure 6" across by 4" deep to give you an idea of the thickness. Circa 1900. -  $7975.
